A typical day at nursery
- Children arrive, put their coats and bags on their peg and self-register, which develops recognition of their written name.
- Free flow play and learning is both inside and outside. Pupils can select their own activities as well as choose from stimulating activities set up by the staff.
- Planned adult led activities in small groups - teaching key skills and covering a variety of curriculum areas throughout the week.
- Songs, rhymes and snack.
- Phonics.
- Story time.
- Curriculum group time.
- Tidy up time - all children are encouraged to be part of the tidying process which teaches them the value of taking care of the resources and their learning environment.
