National lockdown January and February 2021

In addition to the class blog and videos, additional suggestions for home learning will be added here on a weekly basis. There is no expectation that these will be completed at home. Some of these may require a printer or access to a device which we know is not always possible. We aim to provide a wide variety of suggestions so you can select what works best for you and your child at home.

October 2020

Here are a few suggestions for activities you can do together at home whilst nursery is closed. We will also be adding stories and songs in Our Videos. You could also choose a video from the content already available in FS1 home learning or FS1 storytime.

Ideas for home 30 September- 12 October

We have been learning about Autumn at nursery. This week, we have been sharing this 'What can you see?' presentation with the children to introduce and broaden our vocabulary. We made binoculars with our hands and guessed what we could see before the full photo was revealed. It promoted lovely conversations about their experiences of Autumn. We hope you enjoy it at home too.

At nursery this week, we were planning on learning about Harvest and sharing the story of the Little Red Hen.

Below is a link to a video of the story and some colouring pages.

Have a chat together at home about bread. Do you like bread? What type of bread is your favourite? Brown, white, flat, roti, pitta, brioche, rye or tortilla. If you are feeling adventurous- why not have a go at baking some bread together at home?

If you would like to send some photos to Mrs James in the school office, we would love to see what you are doing at home.
